Value retention through structured care routines
Hearing systems and their connecting tubes are continuously exposed to condensation and perspiration during use. Moisture corrodes soldered joints and causes leakage currents on amplifier circuit boards. At the same time, contact with skin oils causes flexible tubing to become brittle. A consistent maintenance routine prevents acoustic malfunctions such as feedback whistling or signal drops.
Daily drying and tubing inspection
After taking off the system, drying must begin immediately to eliminate moisture pockets in microphone ports.
- Drying process: Placing the opened device in an electric drying station with controlled warm air flow for a four-hour cycle.
- Tubing check: Inspecting the polyurethane tubing material for cloudiness, discoloration, and hardening.
- Moisture removal: Blowing out water droplets in the sound canal using an air blower bulb.
Replacement intervals and warranty
Polyurethane tubing loses its elasticity after roughly three to six months due to UV exposure and lipids. Hardened tubing transmits vibrations to the housing and promotes acoustic feedback. Replace the tubing as soon as it can no longer be squeezed elastically. If signal distortions occur despite following these instructions, contact Novabelvarispx technical customer service via the service portal, citing your product serial number.
